Cell-free systems have higher expression rates for minibinders than cell-based systems

Summary

Cell-free systems have higher expression rates for de novo-designed minibinders than cell-based systems. This has been reported anecdotally before, and was shown in a head-to-head comparison of mRNA display and yeast display (1).
