Summary

MPNN-like design profiles may be the source of high thermostabilityProteinMPNN-like sequence design profiles may be the source of high thermostability (1). This was observed in the Proteina-Complexa paper, which sampled sequences in two “modes”, one low-temperature (yielding sequence profiles similar to ProteinMPNN outputs) and one high-temperature (yield sequences with UniProt-like residue propensities). The former were more thermostable than the latter.
