Most camelid-derived nanobodies have high sequence identity with human IGHV3

Summary

Most camelid VHHs have high sequence identity with human IGHV3, sometimes up to 95% identity in the framework (1). This is comparable to murine-derived clinical antibodies such as Trastuzumab. Despite this, they still elicit immunogenic reactions.
